2. Using this website
You may use this website to learn about our services, view completed projects, contact us and arrange an appointment.
You must not use the website:
- For an unlawful or fraudulent purpose
- In a way that could damage or disrupt the website
- To introduce malicious software or harmful material
- To attempt unauthorised access to the website, its systems or its data
- To infringe our rights or the rights of another person
We may restrict access where we reasonably believe the website is being misused.
3. Website information
We take reasonable care when preparing the information on this website. Renovation requirements vary between properties, so website content cannot account for the construction, condition or requirements of a particular home.
Website content is provided as general information. It does not constitute:
- A project specification
- A property survey
- A technical assessment
- A quotation
- Construction instructions
- Professional advice for a particular property
Photographs, renders and product images are illustrative. Colours, materials, finishes and proportions may appear differently because of photography, lighting, digital representation and screen settings.
We may update or remove website content without notice.
4. Enquiries, appointments and estimates
Submitting an enquiry does not require you to appoint us and does not require us to accept a project.
Appointments may be arranged through Calendly or another booking service embedded on the website. A booking confirmation reserves the appointment shown in the confirmation. It does not:
- Confirm that we will undertake the project
- Reserve an installation date
- Confirm a project price
- Create a renovation contract
Any early estimate, budget indication or pricing information is based on the information available at that stage.
The final scope, specification, price and programme for renovation work are confirmed separately through the relevant project documents and renovation agreement.
Paid design service
5. When these design terms apply
Sections 5 to 21 apply when you purchase our paid bathroom or kitchen design service through a Stripe payment link.
The design service includes professional design work and digital outputs. It is separate from any later agreement for product supply, fitting or renovation work.
Unless the payment page or written quotation states otherwise, each purchase covers one room.
A contract for the design service begins when:
- You complete the payment;
- The payment is accepted; and
- We send confirmation of the purchase.
If we cannot accept the design project after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid.
6. What the design service includes
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the service includes:
- An in-person site visit
- Measurements of the visible room
- A discussion of your requirements, preferences and expected budget
- Up to five rendered images showing the proposed design
- Two rounds of design revisions
- A specification of the proposed products, tiles and finishes
- An estimate for supplying the specified products
- An estimate for fitting and installation by Indesign
The design fee does not include:
- Products or materials
- Installation or building work
- Structural, architectural or engineering advice
- Intrusive surveys
- Opening walls or floors
- Applications for permission or approval
- Technical construction drawings unless expressly agreed
Any later supply or renovation work is quoted and contracted separately.
7. Price and payment
The design service is usually priced at £500 per room.
The exact fee may vary according to the size, scope or complexity of the project. The applicable fee will be shown on the payment page or confirmed in writing before payment.
The full fee is payable in advance through Stripe.
Where you later appoint Indesign to supply and install the corresponding room, the design fee paid for that room will be credited against the agreed project price.
The credit:
- Applies once to the corresponding project
- Cannot be transferred to another person or property
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
- Does not apply where the design fee has already been refunded
8. Site visit and measurements
You must provide reasonable access to the property for the site visit.
The visit is used to:
- Measure the visible room
- Review its current layout
- Discuss how the room will be used
- Understand your design preferences
- Review the proposed level of specification
- Gather information needed to prepare the design
You confirm that you have authority to grant access to the property.
The visit is visual and non-intrusive. We do not open walls, floors, ceilings or concealed areas as part of the design service.
Subfloors, wall substrates, concealed services and previous construction may only become apparent during strip-out. They are outside the assessment provided through the paid design service.
9. Design timetable
We aim to provide the initial design within seven working days after:
- The site visit has taken place
- The design brief has been agreed
- We have received the information needed to begin
This is an expected timeframe rather than a guaranteed completion date.
The timetable may be affected by:
- Current workload
- Delayed property access
- Missing or inaccurate information
- Changes to the brief
- Delayed feedback
- Product research or supplier information
We will tell you where a material delay becomes apparent.
10. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide access for the site visit
- Give us accurate information about the room and property
- Explain your requirements, priorities and expected budget
- Tell us about known restrictions or property requirements
- Review the design within a reasonable time
- Provide clear and consolidated feedback
- Respond to questions required to continue the work
- Tell us promptly where the brief or property circumstances change
We are not responsible for delays caused by missing access, information, decisions or feedback.
11. Design revisions
The service includes two revision rounds.
A revision round means one consolidated set of changes submitted after reviewing the current design.
Changes should be submitted through the review platform or communication method agreed with us.
Additional revision rounds are charged at £250 per round. We will confirm the additional charge and obtain your agreement before carrying out that work.
A separate quotation may be required where you request:
- A substantial change to the original brief
- A complete change in design direction
- The addition of another room
- Work outside the agreed service
- A redesign following changes to the property
12. Design judgement and personal preference
We will perform the design service with reasonable care and skill and will work with the requirements and information you provide.
Design involves professional judgement and personal preference. The proposal may differ from the precise result you originally imagined.
The included revision rounds provide an opportunity to clarify and refine the design within the agreed brief.
Subjective dissatisfaction alone does not mean the service has been performed incorrectly. This does not affect your statutory rights where the service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill or has not matched information that formed part of the contract.
13. Product representations
The design software may not contain an exact digital model of every product, component or finish.
Where an exact model is unavailable, we may use the closest suitable visual representation.
Rendered products may differ from the physical products in:
- Colour
- Texture
- Proportion
- Detailing
- Handles or controls
- Joints and edge treatments
- Lighting appearance
The written specification and relevant product quotation identify the products proposed for the project. They take precedence over their appearance within a rendered image.
Product availability, supplier pricing and product ranges may change after the design is prepared.
14. Renders and 2D plans
Rendered images are provided to communicate the design concept.
They are illustrative and must not be:
- Measured or scaled
- Treated as architectural drawings
- Treated as construction drawings
- Used as technical installation instructions
- Used as a substitute for site verification
Any 2D plan supplied through the service shows the proposed general position of products and fittings.
Unless expressly identified otherwise, a 2D plan is not:
- A structural drawing
- A plumbing or drainage design
- An electrical design
- A mechanical design
- An installation drawing
- A building regulations drawing
15. Installation by another company
Where another company or installer carries out the work, they must independently:
- Verify every dimension at the property
- Inspect the construction and condition of the room
- Confirm that the proposed layout is feasible
- Confirm product clearances and fitting requirements
- Determine plumbing, drainage and electrical routes
- Check water pressure and service requirements
- Confirm waterproofing and ventilation requirements
- Comply with applicable regulations and manufacturer instructions
We are not responsible for:
- The workmanship of an installer who is not working under an Indesign renovation agreement
- Technical decisions made by that installer
- Failure by that installer to inspect or measure the property
- Changes made to the design without our written agreement
- Products installed contrary to supplier instructions
Where Indesign is later appointed to supply or install the room, that work will be governed by the separate project specification and renovation agreement.
16. Product and installation estimates
Estimates prepared through the design service are based on:
- The design available at the time
- The proposed specification
- Visible site conditions
- Information provided by you
- Supplier prices and product availability at that time
An estimate does not:
- Reserve products
- Guarantee continued product availability
- Confirm a final renovation price
- Reserve an installation date
- Create a product supply or renovation contract
The final scope, specification, price and programme for supply or installation work will be confirmed separately.
17. Inactivity
We may pause the design service where you do not respond to requests for access, information, decisions or feedback for 30 days.
We will attempt to contact you before closing the design project.
Where you remain unresponsive, we may close the service by giving written notice.
Reopening a closed project will depend on our availability. A further charge may apply where:
- The brief has changed
- Products or prices need to be researched again
- Design files require substantial updating
- Site circumstances have changed
Any further charge will be confirmed before additional work begins.
18. Cancellation by you
Your statutory cancellation period
Where you purchase the design service online as a consumer, you normally have 14 days after the day the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason.
To cancel, email support@indesign.uk and provide:
- Your name
- Your property address
- The date of purchase
- A clear statement that you are cancelling the design service
Beginning during the cancellation period
We may begin the design service during the 14-day cancellation period where you expressly ask us to do so.
Where you cancel after asking us to begin, you must pay an amount proportionate to the work supplied up to the time we receive your cancellation.
Where the design service has been fully performed after:
- Your express request that we begin during the cancellation period; and
- Your acknowledgement that the cancellation right will be lost once the service is fully performed,
your statutory right to cancel ends.
Cancellation after the statutory period
After the statutory cancellation period, you do not have an automatic right to a refund because you:
- Change your mind
- Decide not to proceed with the renovation
- Choose another company
- Dislike a subjective design choice
- Fail to provide access, information or feedback
Where you end the service before it has been completed, we may retain or charge an amount that reasonably reflects:
- Work already carried out
- Time allocated to the project
- Site visits completed
- External costs incurred
- Losses directly caused by the cancellation
Any remaining balance will be refunded.
Once the full design service has been provided, the fee is non-refundable unless your statutory rights apply.
19. Ending the service by Indesign
We may pause or end the design service where:
- You do not provide the access or information required
- You repeatedly fail to respond
- You materially change the agreed brief without agreeing additional work
- The proposed project proves technically or commercially impracticable
- There is a persistent disagreement about design direction or budget
- Communication becomes abusive, threatening or unproductive
- Continuing the service would be unsafe or unlawful
- You seriously breach these terms
We will normally explain the issue and give you a reasonable opportunity to address it before ending the service.
Where we end the service for reasons unrelated to your conduct or breach, we will refund the part of the fee that reasonably relates to work we have not provided.
Where we end the service because of your serious breach, any refund will take account of the work completed, costs incurred and losses caused by that breach.
20. Intellectual property in the design
We retain the copyright and other intellectual-property rights in the design outputs, including:
- Renders
- Plans
- Layouts
- Specifications
- Design concepts
- Written design material
Rights in third-party products, images and software assets remain with their respective owners.
Once the design fee has been paid in full, you receive a permanent, non-exclusive licence to use the final design outputs for the personal property project for which they were created.
You may share them with installers, consultants and professional advisers involved in that property project.
You must not, without our written permission:
- Sell or license the design outputs
- Publish them commercially
- Use them for another property
- Present them as your own commercial design work
- Remove our ownership notices
- Use them to develop a competing commercial service
We may use the design outputs within our portfolio, marketing and educational material, subject to any confidentiality, privacy or photography agreement made with you.
21. Our responsibility for the design service
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where doing so would be unlawful.
We remain responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by:
- Our breach of the design-service contract
- Our failure to use reasonable care and skill
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
To the extent that the loss was not caused by our breach, we are not responsible for losses arising from:
- Treating illustrative renders as technical construction drawings
- Building or installing directly from a render
- Failure to verify dimensions and site conditions
- Work performed by a third-party installer
- Third-party workmanship or technical decisions
- Changes made without our involvement
- Inaccurate or incomplete information provided to us
- Product changes or substitutions made after the design
- Concealed property conditions that were not visible during the site visit
Nothing in these terms affects the statutory rights available to consumers.
22. Stripe payments
Payments for the design service are processed through Stripe.
Stripe may process payment and transaction information under its own terms and privacy notice.
Our Privacy Policy explains how Indesign uses personal information connected with the design service.
23. Questions and complaints about the design service
Questions or concerns about the service should be sent to:
support@indesign.uk
Please explain the issue and provide any relevant project or payment information.
We will review the matter and respond within a reasonable time.

29. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our website, services or legal responsibilities change.
The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date.
Changes will not retrospectively alter a paid design-service contract. The version in force when you purchased the service will continue to apply to that purchase unless:
- A change is required by law; or
- We agree the change with you.
30. Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.
