Polar White Kitchen | Swiss Cottage
A bespoke Beckermann kitchen installation featuring integrated Miele and Bora appliances, smoked glass joinery, and large format Calacatta Prestigio tiles.
Project brief
The clients wanted a kitchen that felt open and uncluttered while housing serious appliance specification and ample storage.
The room needed to work as both a functional cooking space and an entertaining area with seating at the island. Everything visible had to feel intentional, with hardware and appliance fronts kept as flush as possible. The design centres on a Beckermann handleless kitchen in polar white with a full-height appliance bank, integrated Miele oven, coffee machine, and wine fridge, and a Bora downdraft hob set into the island. A bespoke smoked glass display unit with LED-lit shelving provides a focal point at the room's entrance.
Designer's note:
The layout groups all tall appliances and storage into a single bank along one wall, freeing the remaining runs for worktop space and keeping sightlines clean.
The island sits centrally with the Bora downdraft hob on one side and bar seating on the other, removing the need for an overhead extractor. The sink is positioned at the window for the garden view. A wine rack is integrated above the fridge within the appliance column, and a full-height pantry unit on the opposite wall balances the room without narrowing the walkways. Everything is handleless and flush-fronted.
The results
A kitchen where every surface reads as one continuous material, from worktop to island to floor.
